Terms of Service

NoteAlong (notealong.com) is operated by Aditya Singh, a sole proprietor based in India. “NoteAlong”, “we” and “us” in these terms mean that business. When paid plans are available, payments are collected by our payment provider acting as the merchant of record; the service itself is provided by us.

NoteAlong turns audio playing in your own browser tab into private study notes, for your personal use. It's a note-taking tool — not a way to copy, redistribute, or re-publish anyone's content.

You're responsible for using NoteAlong in line with the terms of the platforms you watch on and the laws that apply to you. When you share a tab, capture happens in your browser, from the tab you choose: we never connect to, fetch from or scrape the platform you're watching. When you paste a YouTube link instead, we get that video's transcript through a transcript provider.

The Free plan includes 120 minutes of transcription and 5 generated notes per calendar month (240 minutes and 10 notes through September 2026), resetting on the 1st. Pro is $12 per month or $96 per year and includes 3,000 minutes of transcription (50 hours) and 500 generated notes a month, plus PDF export and Notion sync, a fair-use ceiling far above any normal course load. Limits and prices are shown before you are ever charged, and when you reach a limit nothing is deleted: your notes, transcripts, search and chat keep working, only new captures wait for the reset.

Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. Payments are handled by our payment provider, which may appear as the merchant on your card statement and which collects any applicable sales tax or VAT. Prices are shown in your checkout currency before you confirm. Refunds are covered by our refund policy: in short, a full refund within 14 days of a first payment.

Cancel in one click from Settings, any time. No retention flows, no phone calls. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then returns to Free. Your notes remain yours and exportable after you cancel.

Your transcripts and notes belong to you, including the slide images kept in them. We store them only to provide the service to you, never use them to train any model, and never share them with other users. Slide images not chosen for a note are deleted right after the note is made. You can export or delete your notes at any time, and deleting your account deletes everything with it.

NoteAlong is for taking notes on material you are entitled to watch or listen to. Captured slides are for your personal study. Don't use it to copy or redistribute someone else's content, to record people without their consent, or to run automated or bulk capture designed to get around plan limits. We may suspend accounts that do, and we will tell you why.

NoteAlong is provided as it is, and we work hard to keep it running, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every transcription and note will be perfect; please check anything that matters for an exam against the original material. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms; if a change materially affects you, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any consumer rights you have where you live. Questions go to support@notealong.com, and a person answers.
